Most programs can be used by pressing PRGM, then selecting the program's name under EXEC and pressing ENTER. They will ask for some sort of information, and then calculate.
If a program has a * by it, it can't be used. To fix this, go to the MEM menu (above +), select UnArchive , then select the program with a * and press ENTER. You can also do this in reverse with Archive instead.
PROGRAM NOTES
prgmAREACURV:x1 is the lower limit of integration, x2 is the upper one.
prgmBAKES:This is the Quadratic Formula.
prgmBETWCURV:Bounds are limits of integration. If you are given a bound, input it as a vertical one.
prgmBIBLE:If no graphs under Y= are active, this program will run faster.
prgmCOSTANAL:You must input the Total Prod. column with these {} around it and commas in between.
prgmDERCHECK:Use this only if you have Symbolic installed.
prgmHELP:Go to EDIT to read the help.
prgmLIMIT:The first "lim" is the expression.
prgmLOGZ:"Log" is log(this).
prgmPHIL:Press ON to escape.
prgmRADIAN:Decimal degrees sometimes get the whole number cut off. Use the Ans key to see the answer.
prgmSATAN:Try not to run this program. Or delete it, for that matter.
NOTES FOR SYMBOLIC (MATH x2)
The functions sometimes change to symbols. Take no notice of this.
d( function usage:d("expression","variable")
arclength( function usage:arclength("function","variable",left bound,right bound)
simp((FOIL) function usage:simp("expression")
RANDOM NOTES
Tangent Lines:Enter an equation in Y=, then go to the graph. Press (2nd)DRAW (above PRGM), then type the x-coordinate to draw the line at and press ENTER.
The STO-> button: Use this to create variables. Try Number->Letter to make that letter a variable for that number. Also, press STO-> directly after using d( and then a y-vars to put the derivative in that y-vars.
Y-vars:Like Y1 and Y2.You can store derivatives to these (see above) Also, putting Y 1(4) will give you f(4) for Y1.
Sigmas:To find a sigma, use this:
sum(seq(right,variable,bottom,top,1))
top
( right
bottom
sum( and seq( are in the (2nd)LIST menu.
